Job Description

This position is responsible for processes development, documentation, and supporting TEGNA's server and workstation platforms. Working with other team members, this position will recommend, architect and implement toolsets, and services to ensure the health, security and optimal performance of TEGNA's cloud-based, on premise infrastructure, and other SaaS based services. This position will be responsible for documenting changes and using tools ServiceNow to ensure technology is deployed and maintained with minimal impact to the business. This position will work effectively with other IT teams, Corporate departments, business units, consultants and service providers to ensure smooth operation of TEGNA's IT platforms and applications. ​

Responsibilities:

  • ​Proactively ensure that TEGNA maintains a healthy and secure server and workstation environment.
  • Manage and execute special projects. 
  • Resolve problems and document resolutions. 
  • Architect and implement toolsets and build workflows to drive automation. 
  • React to changes positively, handle other essential tasks as assigned, and productively challenge the status quo as appropriate. 
  • Work with manage service providers to drive efficient process and ensure SLAs are met 

Job Requirements

Here's what you need:

  • ​College degree or higher.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience with server and/or end-user computing orchestration, management and monitoring toolsets including SCCM, Splunk, CrowdStrike and mobile device management platforms. Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Experience with automation of system management with ServiceNow.
  • Scripting languages including PowerShell, Perl or Python.
  • Experience leading all aspects of a project from inception to planning to implementation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of service desk concepts and toolsets including ITIL, knowledge management, and ServiceNow.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks/projects and follow through to completion independently or as part of a team.
  • As a member of a service organization, ability to effectively communicate technical topics to various levels of internal customers and outside business partners.  Interact with customers with empathy and in a mature and pleasant manner.



 Here's what you need:

 

 

  • ​​Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or an applicable analytical field of study.

 

  • 2 to 5 years of analytical experience in a finance role, operations or any related analytical role.

 

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and strong modeling skills.

 

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

 

  • Ability to effectively solve problems and address opportunities.

 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively in a fast-paced environment

 

  • Strong attention to detail, goal oriented and results focused, and the ability to process transactions while meeting tight deadlines

 

  • Maintain a professional presence with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

  • Experience with Tableau, WideOrbit and Salesforce desired.​
