Job Description

KUSA-TV, the TEGNA owned NBC affiliate in Denver, CO is seeking a Broadcast IT Engineer to maintain and support all media distribution platforms, including but not limited to computer & network operations and broadcast technology. KUSA is a visionary media hub unlike like any other local TV station. We work hard every day to bring a high level of customer service to our internal clients. This position requires an engineer with great people skills and a desire to work in a flexible environment.  The ideal candidate can balance multiple ongoing projects while addressing the immediate maintenance needs of a 24/7 operation. We support a large local tv station, numerous corporate business units and a national television show.  If you're looking to expand your skills in one of the most active and dynamic cities in America, then we'd love to have you in Denver. ​


  • Support critical broadcast/IT systems including computers, servers, television transmission, video automation systems and ENG equipment.
  • Provide hands-on desktop support and troubleshooting
  • Maintain computers network, broadcast automation equipment, and playout systems
  • Assist with LAN and WAN related hardware and software maintenance
  • Apply regular security updates
  • Maintain VOIP telephone system
  • Provide PC and Mac hardware/software support including installation, service and repair of workstations
  • Assist Engineer with remote site, transmitter support and Master Control maintenance
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of equipment​


Job Requirements


  • Minimum 2 years of related broadcast experience
  • In-depth knowledge of broadcast technologies including; IT, Transmitters, Antennas, Broadcast Switchers, Router Systems, ENG and DSNG Transmissions, Field Cameras, Signal Path Workflows
  • Experience with Microsoft, Mac and Linux operating systems
  • Competency in core hardware and computer system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and LAN/WAN networking
  • Efficient in troubleshoot problems and responding quickly under pressure
  • Working knowledge of other technologies including; Camera Robotics Controls, Information Technology Infrastructure, VOIP Phone Systems
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, team management, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong project management experience
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and make quick decisions under pressure
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule in support of a 24x7x365 operation with assigned on-call schedule
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds​
