Broadcast Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

KWES-TV NBC, the TEGNA station in Midland/Odessa Texas is looking for an experienced Broadcast Maintenance Engineer. This person will report to the Director of Technology & Operations and provide preventive maintenance and emergency repairs for all audio, video, and transmission systems. Experience with Ross Vision 3 production switchers, audio consoles and Utah Scientific/Digital Broadcast/Harmonic/Imagine Communications Master Control equipment preferred.  


The Broadcast Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all broadcast equipment. This equipment will include HD-SDI routing and distribution systems, production equipment and video servers.

Job Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have at least five years of broadcast maintenance experience.
  • An Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Computer Science is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of HD/SDI video, Embedded & AES audio, transmission systems and have the skills necessary to maintain all associated processing equipment.
  • Candidate must be able to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
