Job Description

TEGNA has a Cash/Account Receivables Specialist position available in its Broadcast Advertising Customer Services – Financial Services group located in downtown Dallas, Texas. This position will manage an assigned portfolio and provide customer support services as needed to both internal and external customers as needed.

Cash/AR  

  • Accurate and timely post daily lock-box, EFT/ACH and credit card payments
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner for an assigned portfolio
  • Review and research Unapplied Funds and over-payments
  • Process credit/debit adjustments and refunds
  • Ensures appropriate contact and relationships for all accounts
  • Special Projects and other duties assigned by supervisor 

General:

  • Thoroughly understands and documents Cash/AR policy and procedures
  • Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies and resolve
  • Research and develop appropriate responses and conveys information to customers
  • Serve as backup to other team members to ensure timely processing of accounts

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Broadcast experience is strongly preferred
  • Associates/Bachelor degree in Accounting/ Minimum of 3 years related Heavy Cash/AR experience
  • Electronic Lockbox
  • Solid Reconciliation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent skills related to:  written/verbal communication, analytical, supervisory
  • Strong organizational skills and professionalism highly expected​
