Job Description

TEGNA has a Cash Application/Account Receivables Specialist position available in its Broadcast Advertising Customer Services – Financial Services group located in downtown Dallas, Texas. This position will manage an assigned portfolio and provide customer support services as needed to both internal and external customers as needed.

Cash Application and Accounts Receivable Maintenance:

  • Daily cash application from bank lockbox, EFT/ACH payments, and credit card payments
  • Reconciles daily cash posting
  • Reconciles customer receivable accounts and applies prepayments to invoices
  • Research and resolve unapplied amounts and other credits
  • Identify and process account adjustments and refunds
  • Maintain appropriate relationships with station personnel and outside customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

General Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in large-volume cash application and accounts receivable reconciliation
  • Experience with electronic bank file import of payments from Lockbox a plus
  • Solid account reconciliation and analytical skills
  • Understanding of cash application and AR procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Works well within a team environment – supports other team members
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic required
  • Broadcast media experience preferred
