Job Description

 
An experienced producer/writer capable of seeing projects through from start to finish on their own, with comprehensive knowledge and experience in the entire production process. Working as the primary point of contact with the WFAA Sales Department, the job includes meeting with clients to help enhance brands and messaging, budgeting, writing scripts and overseeing all aspects of video production. This hands-on role requires vision and skill to create dynamic multi-platform content.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting with the sales department management, station account executives and/or clients to develop creative concepts for commercials and/or other content. 
  • Act as Project Manager for direct account projects.
  • Establish project budgets and execute projects efficiently to produce dynamic and effective content while working towards achieving fiscal goals of driving overall station revenue.
  • Creative copywriting, development and execution of produced commercials and other content.
  • Manage commercial shoots with crews, producing, directing and editing, while maintaining quality and staying on schedule.
  • Help manage production schedule of commercial production unit. 
  • Contact and recruit potential clients for commercial production unit.
  • Oversee and approve client proposals and budgets.
  • Manage project media and assets of commercial production unit.
  • Assist production supervisor with monthly cost accounting and profit/loss statements.
  • Work on other station projects as assigned.
 

Job Requirements

 

Requirements:

 

College degree in related field preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
Comfortable working with clients, sales Account Executives, and variety of creative partner in the production process. 
Digital production, lighting and sound experience, as well as experience editing.
Skilled in developing content for social media and other digital platforms.
 
Minimum 3-5 years as commercial producer in television and/or agency experience.
Thorough knowledge of production process from ideation, through production, to final product.
Experience with spreads sheets, budgeting and reconciliation.
 
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients, fellow employees and talent.
Must be flexible and willing to adapt to last minute changes.
Ability to interact productively and positively with fellow employees.
Must be organized and dependable 
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be flexible in work hours depending upon needs of assigned project or deadlines.
Must have a general artistic ability including a sense of design, balance, composition, and lighting.
