Job Description

 

​KUSA/KTVD-TV, 9NEWS Denver has an opportunity with room for growth and professional development as a Copy Coordinator. This position requires a traffic-related background, strong work ethic and the desire to build upon current experience within the broadcast industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an open line of communication with master control operators, account executives, traffic operations and the promotions department so all can achieve shared goals and success.

  • Ensure copy assigned to advertiser schedules runs correctly based on agency instructions.

  • Compile daily dub list of all new spots; identify distribution source, QC for audio, title-safe and duration. Trim as needed using QuickTime Pro. Verify all materials have been ingested into the Harris server in master control, prior to their scheduled airtime. Identify and re-transfer failed spots.

  • Order entry for national sales offices – pre-clear new orders against available inventory, check programming ordered vs. scheduled, create and send make-good offers, send pre and post log times as requested by agency or sales representative.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • ​College degree preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • 1-3 years of broadcast traffic experience with working knowledge of WideOrbit or similar traffic program

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Must be flexible with ability to change direction, prioritizing between several different tasks at once

  • Hours of work vary. Hours are appropriate to business hours but may include occasional overtime
