Job Description

KCEN-TV is looking for a Creative Content Producer to generate unique daily content for our interactive, social first morning show. A qualified candidate will understand how to produce for broadcast, digital and social platforms. The content should showcase the unique elements of our dynamic show through the use of innovative shooting techniques, highly produced show opens, daily proof-of-performance promos and topicals. The job will also include helping to develop a strong image campaign to highlight the unique part of our morning show style, and daily elements that you can only find on Texas Today. Responsibilities:

  • Create unique segments that evoke excitement, and entice audiences to experience our show
  • Incorporate the latest creative elements to deliver content in an innovative and powerful way
  • Work with producers and talent to come up with content that will highlight the original look and feel of our morning show throughout the day
  • Produce outside the box Today show cut-ins in order to appeal to the largest audience of the morning by highlighting the best moments of the show, push the audience to watch the next day and/or let them know what to find on digital platforms throughout the day
  • Design within the station’s overall look and aesthetic, including newscast graphics, promos, digital assets, branded content, marketing assets and show packaging from concept to completion

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong ability to shoot video using a number of different tools and equipment
  • Well versed in editing techniques using multiple platforms, including Edius, Adobe Premier CC, After Effects and Photoshop
  • An online portfolio that shows excellent writing, video editing and social media skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a communications or media based field
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • Organizational skills and the ability to produce high quality content under constant time pressure deadlines
  • Bilingual, (English & Spanish) speaking preferred
