WFAA TV is seeking a brilliant, spirited, and multifaceted Creative Lead to join and strengthen our creative team.

Working with the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager, the CL will lead internal marketing initiatives, build our WFAA brand, and help inspire our team of talented creatives,

 

You will be responsible for using data and strategy (plus your exceptional copywriting, daring design, and picture-perfect production skills) to drive creative from concept through execution.

 

Finally, you will be collaborating with the entire marketing team to create BOLD, DYNAMIC, and ORIGINAL marketing for both WFAA and its station clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Using research and strategy to develop creative and deliver a clear message that reinforces the value of the station and/or client’s brand.  
  • Productively work with internal stakeholders to develop and guide the overall look/tone/feel of creative campaigns as well as copywriting, shooting, and editing.
  • Inspiring the creative team to achieve the project’s strategic business goals and metrics.
  • Effectively communicating creative and brand direction across all platforms with compelling presentations.
  • Develops, maintains and tracks production budgets.
  • Promoting a culture of innovation and execution.
  • Recommends equipment for creative personnel.
  • Acts as marketing representative at various community and company activities and functions.
  • Performs other duties as direted by Marketing Director and Marketing Manager.

Job Requirements

 

CANDIDATE  SHOULD HAVE:

  • At least 5 years of previous production experience (TV/film/other) shared via a demo reel 
  • A college degree in marketing, advertising, design or related field is preferred.
  • The ability to apply research, data and strategy to develop creative messages that drive audience growth. 
  • Proven experience working with creative teams and production personnel.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and sometimes unpredictable hours in a fast-paced environment. 
  • The ability to keep track of multiple projects and meet aggressive deadlines. 
  • proficiency in static and motion graphic design.
  • proficiency in lighting techniques in both internal and external environments.
  • proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other postproduction tools to color grade, mix audio.
  • Proficiency with a variety of production tools: DSLRs, cinema cameras and lenses etc.
  • A good sense of humor is a plus.
  • An appetite for growth.
  • A collaborative mindset.
  • A “let’s do it” mentality.
