Job Description

ARE YOU a filmmaker with a relentless DIY/punk rock spirit? Do you love making content? The ABC10 Creative department is looking for an innovative storyteller with a successful history of creating engaging and entertaining content on little or no budget.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE is bursting at the seams with creative ideas and has the cinematography and editing skills to bring their ideas to life with the experience to prove it. They know how to tell a good story and produce a solid commercial. They have an eye for composition and detail. They know how to have fun at work.

THE JOB:

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Marketing Director to develop captivating digital content that tells a story and furthers the ABC10 brand.
  • Work as part of a team in developing pilots for broadcast and digital platforms. 
  • Create ABC10 commercials, promotional content and demo reels.
  • Produce, shoot and edit client work including commercials and corporate videos.
  • Work with the news team to improve the overall look, feel and quality of ABC10 products.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An experienced cinematographer with knowledge and experience shooting on cinema, mirrorless and DSLR cameras.
  • Seasoned editor with experience cutting on Adobe Premiere.
  • Fluent in 4K and RAW video workflows.
  • Self-starter who is able to keep projects and stories moving forward.
  • A team player who can actively participate in brainstorms or grip on a shoot for another producer.
  • Experience creating content for social and digital platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office and G Suite.
  • Organized, dependable and detail oriented.
  • Must have an enthusiastic positive attitude and able to have fun at work. 

    BONUS POINTS:
  • Experience creating animations, motion graphics or visual effects in Adobe After Effects, Blackmagic Fusion or Nuke.
  • Working knowledge of Da Vinci Resolve with an understanding of color science.
  • Experience working with talent.
  • Random and useless knowledge of cinema. ​
