Job Description

​This role will report to the Director of Marketing & Brand at 9NEWS and be instrumental in growing audience and advancing the legacy of 9NEWS. We are looking for a master data storyteller with a deep sense of intuition. This role will be instrumental in key decisions about product, sponsorship's and strategic planning. •Develop and maintain relevant television audience reports and processes to help gather insights in an efficient and meaningful way. 
•Synthesize research into story-driven presentations and executive summaries that advance the business.
•An instrumental catalyst for branded sponsorships that are rooted in data and consumer insights.
•Develop research proposals to garner new audience for 9NEWS
•Deliver a positive, energetic, team-oriented effort; work well with groups and thrive in a creative and competitive environment. 
•Ability to apply consumer insights to a brand strategy.
•A strategic partner in product testing and new concept development.
•Implement customer journey mapping and segmentation analysis.
•Create custom analysis such as: media planning, viewing behavior, audience affinity. 
•Organize the media industry’s leading multicultural and newcomer strategies with insight driven tactics.
•Effectively visualize and present data and insights to key stakeholders. 
•Research, analyze and report on changing consumer behaviors & media industry trends. 
•Assist with the execution of primary research studies. 
•Ability to present and implement research strategies with each business unit.​

Job Requirements


  • ​High attention to detail and accuracy in a high-paced ambiguous environment either in a team setting or independently
  • Preferred agency experiences
  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Experience in storytelling and consumer first mindset. Brand Association and attribution testing
