WNEP-TV, the ABC affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pa. has an immediate opening for a part-time Video Coordinator/News Editor/Web Content Producer.  Our web content producers are innovative story tellers.  The right candidate needs to be able to write, post and push news and breaking news to the web and digital platforms.  The position also requires editing news stories for broadcast and digital platforms.


  • Edit video and oversee show editing
  • Take video feeds from field crews and bureaus
  • Pull file video for shows or crews
  • Communicate with producers and desk about video and script information
  • Download video from ABC and CNN for use in newscasts
  • Delegate scripts to photographers in house
  • Post news stories and videos to wnep.com and all digital platforms
  • Post and push breaking news alerts​


Job Requirements


  • Experience with non-linear editing such as Final Cut Pro X something similar, and general knowledge of newsroom workflow
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience required
  • Ability to work well under extreme pressure and time deadlines
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Position requires a valid driver's license.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of web production experience or similar experience in print or television newsrooms
  • Knowledge of AP style writing as well as best web-production practices, including search engine optimization, story packaging, and social media​
