Job Summary:

TEGNA is seeking an Employee Experience Specialist – TA Ops to provide transactional support to HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and in-house recruiters as it relates to talent acquisition operations. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Handle a high volume of requests for job postings, offer letter/personal services contract creation, onboarding and processing hires.
  • Ability to follow through with complete documentation from request to execution.
  • Communicate with candidates, hiring managers and HR Business Partners, respond to concerns/questions, guide the offer letter/personal services contract creation, onboarding and final hiring process in a timely manner within SLAs.
  • Utilize your interpersonal skills and extensive on-the-job training to provide professional, knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and responsive customer service.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, timeliness and support within parameters of TEGNA’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the talent acquisition process by creating offer letters/personal service contracts, initiating and monitoring background check process, initiating and monitoring the onboarding process, and facilitating moving the candidate into process hires and ultimately into the core HRIS/payroll system.
  • Stay current on TEGNA's programs and services through on-going training provided by TEGNA.
  • Update required database to ensure accurate compliance reporting.
  • Assist with integration of employees during an acquisition.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A self-starter who has excellent communication skills and the desire to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and dependable in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task using several applications at once.
  • Exceptional client customer service orientation.
  • Ability to respond positively to challenging work and deadlines.
  • Ability to work successfully at both a strategic and tactical level with HR Business Partners and senior management.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem identification and solving ability.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts (8 hours) and extended hours as necessary.

 

Required/preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or a High School diploma and equivalent years of related industry experience.
  • Prior experience with recruiting processes a plus
  • Experience using CRM systems preferred
