About Us

Channel 5 (KFSM-TV) is a CBS affiliated station that has been the top-rated station in Northwest Arkansas (Fort Smith-Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, AR DMA) for 15-years both HH and A25-54. 5NEWS produces more local programming (31 hours per week) than any other local station with the 5, 6, and 10 routinely doubling the ratings of nearest competitor. That dominance extends into the digital sphere as well. 5NEWSonline.com, the 5NEWS app, and the social media followings on Facebook Twitter, and Instagram have the highest user base in the market. And, 5NEWS in July moved to a brand new, state-of-the-art broadcast facility in the heart of the third fastest growing MSA in the country.
