Freelance Multi-Media Producer

WCSH TV in Portland, Maine is looking for News Multi-Media/Social Media Producer who can write, create, edit and produce interesting and impactful content for broadcast, online and social media. You must be a self-starter with strong brand management skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Create, write, edit and post content for News on multiple platforms.
  • Use the latest editing and photography tools to create content for News and Digital platforms.
  • Develop original promotional content through social listening and independent sources.
  • Work closely with news producers, reporters and photojournalists.
  • Must be able to work early morning, nights and weekends

Job Requirements

Here’s what you need:

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Strong social media skills, promoting on social media - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
  • Knowledge of non-linear editing using Final-Cut, Edius and Adobe Creative Suite-After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Shooting experience using DSLR and XDCam cameras preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong writing skills
  • Highly interested in broadcast and digital news content
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be deadline-oriented, maintaining quality while staying on tight schedules
