Job Description

ABC10's "Sac & Co" is a locally produced LIVE magazine lifestyle program featuring commercially sponsored guests and companies who discuss in a talk-show format their products and services. "Sac & Co" airs Monday through Friday from 9-10 am on Channel 10. The show also features Sacramento-area non-profit organizations, community groups, events, national and international celebrities and performers, and other non-commercial entrepreneurial guests. ​ABC10 is looking for an energetic part-time Host with an outgoing personality, willingness to have fun and have a dynamic presentation style that highlights California products and companies. ​

Responsibilities

  • The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of LIVE interview experience and a thorough understanding of LIVE studio television operations.
  • Ability to read off a teleprompter, take camera cues and adjust to on-the-fly script changes and studio set up is also required.
  • The show host will also be encouraged to pitch segment ideas focusing on unique events, local and regional celebrities and organizations that complement a program lineup that highlights the California business and entertainment lifestyle.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Producer.​

Job Requirements

Requirements include:

  • Minimum three years of LIVE television experience is preferred along with television writing and proofreading experience.
  • Bachelor's in Communications, Journalism, Performing Arts, Public Relations preferred.
  • Ability to work with diverse array of business and other guests required.
  • Ability to coach non-broadcast experienced guests and have them be comfortable with their on-camera appearance is a plus.
  • Ability to access information quickly using a variety of resources, such as the Internet, source contacts and local business networking is preferred.
  • Because the show is LIVE, ability to work morning hours is required.
  • Some location appearances for client shootings are possible.
  • This is a part-time position, 6:30 to 11:30 a.m., M-F.
