Job Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for processes development, documentation, and support for TEGNA's server and workstation platforms within the Charlotte Hub. Working with other team members, this position will recommend, architect and implement tool sets, and services to ensure the health, security and optimal performance of the TEGNA Hub Data Centers, on premise infrastructure, as well as IT services. This position will be responsible for documenting changes, upgrades and evaluation to ensure technology is deployed and maintained with minimal impact to the Hub business center. This position will work effectively with other IT teams, Corporate departments, business units, consultants and service providers to ensure smooth operation of TEGNA's IT platforms within the Charlotte Hub environment.  Candidate should have familiarity with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, SCCM, and Bomgar.​

Responsibilities:

  • ​Proactively ensure that TEGNA maintains a healthy and secure server and workstation environment. 
  • Manage and execute special projects. 
  • Resolve problems and document resolutions. 
  • Architect and implement toolsets and build workflows to drive automation. 
  • React to changes positively, handle other essential tasks as assigned, and productively challenge the status quo as appropriate. 
  • Work with manage service providers to drive efficient process and ensure SLAs are met 
  • Provide on call and after hours support through an on-call rotation. 

Job Requirements

 Requirements:

  • College degree or higher.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience with server and/or end-user computing orchestration, management and monitoring toolsets including SCCM, Splunk, CrowdStrink and mobile device management platforms. Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Experience with automation of system management with ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of broadcast software applications such as Crispin, Harmonic, and Evertz.
  • Scripting languages including PowerShell, Perl or Python.
  • Experience leading all aspects of a project from inception to planning to implementation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of service desk concepts and toolsets including ITIL, knowledge management, and ServiceNow.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks/projects and follow through to completion independently or as part of a team.​
