JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly motivated individual that thrives in a technical innovative atmosphere. The position requires someone who is a disciplined and level headed able to work under pressure situations where deadlines are critical. The candidate needs to be highly collaborative and will be working with leading broadcast professionals on a wide range of technical projects must be willing to work some evenings and weekends. Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise. Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods. Works with a moderate degree of supervision.​​

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The right candidate will have 5 years of experience with Microsoft operating systems for desktops and servers, Cisco routers and be responsible for assisting in IT audit compliance; the ability to prioritize tasks based on the impact of daily operations in a fast changing environment. Good communication skills and knowledge of the broadcast industry is a big plus. Running and putting connector on SDI Video cables, audio cable, network cables and data cables. Provides technical support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware (e.g., PCs, servers, mainframes). Answers questions regarding system procedures, systems status and downtime procedures and supports employee who work from home. Collaborates with Tegna IT, software systems engineering and/or application development in order to restore service and/or identify problems. Maintains a troubleshooting tracking log ensuring timely resolution of problems.​​

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Microsoft and Cisco Certifications are a plus. Additional I.T. experience with ServiceNow, Active Directory, Social Digital Media Platforms, Adobe Creative Cloud, Apple phones and computers. Broadcast software experience including ENPS, Sony Media Backbone, Wide Orbit, Crispin, Miranda, and Bitcentral. Experience with a wide variety of television broadcast
hardware, infrastructure, signal processing, signal distribution for control room, production studio, and edit suite environments.

Abilities required
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and drive a company vehicle if necessary.​
