Job Description

The Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for identifying sales leads for multiple WCNC NBC Charlotte. Using various software tools, this position generates large sets of leads by vertical and then distributes those leads to Local and Regional Account Executives. 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership team to select verticals to pursue
  • Use software tools to create lists of prospects within targeted categories
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to ensure batch leads are scrubbed for accuracy and authenticity, then forward clean leads.
  • Responsible for continually updating and improving processes and procedures and for identifying new ways to support revenue creation
  • May assist with creating and maintaining trackers and reports

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 1-2 years of sales support
  • Database marketing experience is a must
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience in lead generation preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong administrative skills
  • Knowledge of media and integrated marketing campaigns preferred
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven and team oriented environment
  • Must be a self-starter who thrives in a highly collaborative, rapidly evolving environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs – Mac proficiency preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM software preferred
