Job Description

WXIA-TV, the 36 Emmy Award winning NBC affiliate in Atlanta, is seeking an experienced, creative, and technically savvy local programming and commercial production producer. ​

 

​This multi-platform candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. They must work under pressure and be able to create, write, shoot and edit. Flexibility in work schedule is required. The job is part time (32 hours/week).

 

This team player will assist in segment-producing for a 30-minute business and 90-minute live lifestyle program. Duties, in part, will include conceptualizing engaging and informative ideas, writing intros/outros and formulating guest questions. Role will also require candidate to work closely with the local programming department, sales department and clients to ensure the overall mission: solution-based, creative segments & shows that help bring new business to both 11Alive and the client.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Present non-formulaic, outside the box ideas that can be executed in a timely manner
  • Work within tight deadlines
  • Perform studio and audio duties as assigned
  • Execute on location shoots including lighting
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor​

Job Requirements

 

  • 4-year college degree
  • 1-2+ years experience in local programming and/or commercial-marketing production
  • Familiar with Grass Valley Edius a plus
  • Experience with Sony F3 and Sony PMW 300
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects/Premier
  • Experience with working field and studio lighting a plus
