Responsibilities include reporting, shooting/editing, and co-hosting. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of how to present the latest trends, local happenings, and events in order to craft entertaining segments for the audience. This candidate will excel in creative thinking, have a passion for executing unique interviews, and work well in a team environment. They will be an ambassador for KENS by participating in station and/or client events.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide weekly or daily on-camera contributions to the show (broadcast & digital).
  • Interview show guests and clients, in-studio and on-location (remotes).
  • Shoot, edit, and turn weekly packages as assigned by EP.
  • Research topics and develop questions for guests.
  • Assist producers with creative show segment ideas and booking.
  • Attend daily show meetings.
  • Greet and assist guests during morning show prep.
  • Participate in events to promote the show and station.
  • Maintain social media accounts and assist with online content.
  • Co-hosting duties as needed and assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by EP or Producer team.

Job Requirements

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in film, television, or related field, OR have equivalent professional experience / reel.
  • Proven experience as a reporter, on-air personality, or experience as a personality in general.
  • Must have a team-player “can-do” attitude.
  • Experience with shooting video and editing – current reel.
  • Must be energetic, positive and great in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid US driver's license.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Shoot a camera in the field, edit and ingest material into the system.
  • Carry light camera kit - up to 30 lbs.​
