Job Description

KREM TV is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to provide technical support to KREM TV and KSKN TV. This individual will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing TV/Digital production, transmitter, and broadcast systems. ​

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Transmitter maintenance.
  • Maintain and/or repair satellite receivers, cameras, switchers, graphic systems, audio equipment, routers, automation/editing systems, intercoms, monitors, and display systems.
  • Provide technical support to operational users.
  • Consult and communicate with engineering management and other engineers on technical issues as required.
  • Provide specific engineering signal flow diagrams for CAD documentation on all work performed on technical systems.
  • Perform all technical work to engineering standards and practices.
  • Provide PC/Mac hardware/software support, on-site installation, servicing and repair of computer workstations.
  • Provide light building maintenance.
  • Assist with LAN and WAN related hardware and software maintenance.
  • Develop knowledge of facility specific IT needs and assist in supporting these systems.
  • Other duties may be assigned.​

  • Minimum 5 years related TV broadcasting experience.
  • Associate degree (AA) in electronics, related field or work experience in lieu of degree
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain TV transmitter systems.
  • Ability to install and maintain computer systems and network equipment.
  • Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Must be flexible to accommodate shift changes including extended hours, weekends, and evenings.
  • Must possess strong personal interaction skills, good communication skills, ability to work under pressure and deadlines, and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work on ladders/lifts up to 15 ft., a valid driver's license, and work varied shifts including holidays and weekends.​
