Job Description

KENS 5, a TEGNA-owned CBS affiliate in San Antonio, is now accepting applications for paid internship in our marketing department. 

If you are a junior or senior in college and would like an internship with San Antonio’s most watched television station, this is your chance!  KENS is committed to hiring interns from colleges and accredited universities and providing hands-on experience that will be helpful in pursuing a career in the media industry in the future.

Internships offer you an opportunity to see if you are interested in pursuing a career in broadcast journalism, in multiple capacities. Our interns receive the benefit of being assigned a mentor, who will provide a platform to develop passion, skills and experience. Our mentors will provide a learning partnership with our interns, and teach them all there is to know about the fascinating world of television.

This internship will focus on assisting the team with community outreach projects including station events, social media and the creation of television spots promoting community events. A knowledge of Adobe products(Photoshop/Premiere) is desirable but not required. The selected candidate will also work with our marketing team on research as well as the production of news and station marketing messages.
