Job Description

KHOU 11 is looking for a Marketing Strategist to execute multi-media marketing campaigns in collaboration with Account Executives. The marketing strategist will work closely with Account Executives on business development activities. Reports to Local Sales Manager – AE Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Account Executives on pre-sale activities including client research, campaign strategy, presentations and implementation documentation.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives on campaign strategy based on client objectives.
  • Create client-focused sales presentations in Power Point.
  • Implement marketing campaigns, create campaign timelines, lead strategy calls with product partners and manage deadlines with all internal and external teams.
  • Attend business development close meetings with designated Account Executives, IF NEEDED, to ensure there is a clear understanding of campaign goals and establish key performance indicators for measuring success.
  • Regular review of audience delivery using Nielsen ratings and digital fulfillment metrics; use audience delivery information to make appropriate recommendations to client.
  • Maintain prompt and professional client correspondence, providing client necessary campaign details.
  • Coordinate with Account Managers to set up new customer accounts, contracts, and revisions.  What we sold summary.  Post-sale hand off document.
  • Attend sales meetings and training to obtain sales, product and process information.
  • Keep abreast of company products and services to articulate to clients. (Broadcast, OTT, PPC, Native Content Solutions, Audience targeted display and video, social advertising, and email solutions)
  • Able to make decisions and solve problems independently to support the customer and the Account Executive. 

Performance Tracking:

  • Incremental new appointments and presentations for designated Account Executives.
  • Increased new business development revenue.
  • Regularly develops customer focused presentations that include solving client problems, showing a measurement of success and includes client success stories. 

Leading indicators:

  • Increase in number of appointments for designated Account Executives.
  • Increase in number of campaigns that include multi-media platforms.
  • Increase in number of business review meetings and campaign renewals.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Account Management role in a fast paced sales environment
  • Experience managing SEO and SEM campaigns
  • Experience making multi-media marketing recommendations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively under deadline pressure
  • Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization and time management
  • Experience building presentations, extensive knowledge of power point
  • Problem solver, ability to multi task
  • High standard of professionalism and accuracy
  • Customer focus, solution oriented
  • Has a positive outlook and enjoys working in a team environment
