Job Description

9NEWS in Denver is looking for an expert to cover the most interesting weather in the world, from winters that rival Game of Thrones in the Colorado mountains to severe weather on the eastern plains and everything in between. This is a key on-air position to present weather on our television and social and digital platforms. 

Responsibilities

​The key responsibility is the ability to predict the future, in terms of what's going to happen with weather today, tonight, tomorrow and next week. 9NEWS Meteorologists prepare and present multiple weather reports in a day, using all the resources available to us including graphics, video and live cameras provided by the 9NEWS staff as well as user generated content. Meteorologists also interact with other members of the on-air staff to produce a superior viewing experience.
 

Job Requirements

Three to five years of experience as an On-Air Broadcast Meteorologist is the first requirement. The successful candidate should have a degree in Meteorology as well as a certification from the National Weather Service or the American Meteorological Society. ​
