Job Description

KIII-TV, TEGNA's ABC Affiliate in Corpus Christi, Texas is seeking a Part-Time Video Editor/Photographer. Candidates must understand how news video exists on television and digital platforms, and should be prepared to shoot/edit/produce for both. Qualified candidates must be ready and able to quickly create high quality content that must be ready for and/or digital in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Shooting/editing a variety of video elements including voice-overs and packages for multiple platforms
  • Ability to operate non-linear edit systems, experience with Sony Vegas is a plus
  • Must have a professional demeanor and work well as a team player with news team and staff
  • Ability to multi-task, handling editing assignments and capturing feeds and material from multiple sources, while monitoring quality control

Job Requirements

Requirements include:

  • Experience as a non-linear editor and operating a camera
  • Ability to create/edit material for on-air broadcasts and web, while meeting deadlines
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • Must be able to work weekends and overnights
  • Personal integrity, teamwork, accountability, problem solving and a strong work ethic is a must
