Job Description

 

TEGNA’s powerhouse #1 NBC station on the scenic New England coast is looking for a night side newscast producer who believes in storytelling. Located in beautiful downtown Portland, Maine, WCSH6 wants a creative show doctor who can build engaging newscasts around our legendary talent and journalism.

 

We don’t want a show “stacker.” We write and produce compelling stories that matter to our viewers. We’re not interested in story count. We want stories that count. Our viewers demand that. And we deliver.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Smart and creative approach to news storytelling on all three platforms

  • At least 3 years of professional newscast producing

  • A Bachelor of Journalism or related field

  • Solid ethical decision making and news judgment a must

  • Excellent time management skills needed

  • Strong leader and team player required

  • Experience using ENPS, Edius and Axis Graphics a plus
