Job Description

 

  • Studio Supervisor – supervise Young Street studios. Helps marketing, sales and news with studio shoots.
  • Responsible for maintaining lights and other studio equipment; as well as keeping the studios organized and clean.
  • Creates and lights studio sets and looks for sales, community marketing, marketing and news.
  • Manages and helps maintain remote equipment
  • Helps all station departments with offsite remotes.
  • Acts as gaffer, camera operator, assistant camera, floor director and DIT.
  • Meets with producers and directors, helps with concepts and ideas, and makes sure the production is executable.
  • Books time for facility, equipment and personnel.
  • Responsible for assisting Facilities Manager on all production support including lighting, sound, camera operation, sets and all day-to-day studio and remote, as well as IT support and equipment.
  • Executes equipment maintenance and preparation.
  • Works directly with Sales, News, Good Morning Texas, Marketing, Community Marketing and Engineering Departments as well as TEGNA companies, and supplies production support as required.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned​

Job Requirements

  • College degree in broadcast/media production or related field.
  • Valid driver's license​
  • Minimum 3-5 years television production and depth of experience including lighting, shooting, organization and operation
  • Must have thorough knowledge of broadcast and IT equipment, as well as how to use it.
  • Ability to interact productively and positively with clients, management and fellow employees
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with assigned deadlines on multiple projects.​
