TEGNA MARKETING SOLUTIONSSACRAMENTO, CA seeking an experienced Integrated Media Sales Executive whose core business is digital and broadcast. The Senior Integrated Media Sales Executive will have the know how to develop new and grow existing business presenting complex marketing solutions that require thorough knowledge of digital ad technology and media strategies, as well as integration of broadcast elements including branded marketing/influencer marketing. This front-line seller will be responsible for expanding revenue channels locally and regionally with agencies and direct clients. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit, sense urgency and passion for working alongside with clients to contribute to their KPI’s while meeting established quotas. This is a newly created role and ideal for an experienced, solutions-based seller who is comfortable building new lists, prospecting and closing new business. This is a full-time salaried role (base +commission) eligible for all company wide benefits. The future incumbent is expected to:

  • Build out new revenue channels at Regional and Local Account levels.
  • Create, implement & execute digital and integrated media solutions to drive direct and agency sales efforts, with a focus on OTT, video, display, PPC, social media, email, and broadcast television.
  • Perform extensive needs assessments with prospects (acquisition), and existing customers (cross sell) to determine how TEGNA Marketing Solutions can offer the best results for your customers.
  • Deliver creative, strategic, and persuasive presentations that highlight TEGNA’s competitive advantages.
  • Develop needs-based solution proposals.
  • Identify, organize and focus internal resources (pre-sales and post sales) that are required to affect close of new sales opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed revenue budgets.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, individual business development role while contributing to the overall positive team environment and success.
  • Be successful with cold calling, prospecting and scheduling your own appointments.
  • Expert level understanding of video content, OTT, ad exchange platforms and advanced audience targeting capabilities and their value proposition for customers.
    Establish strong relationships with advertising agency and client-direct personnel, including all decision-makers and key influencers from junior media planners to top management.

  • Preferred 5+ years of digital sales experience as an individual contributor in a sales (hunter) role.

 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in broadcast media or other media platforms.

 

  • Digital media ad technology understanding and expert level of application of digital media tactics such as OTT, mobile, video, display, social, email and paid search.

 

  • Consultative/Solutions selling experience vs. a single Product selling background.

 

  • Proven track record in meeting/exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals.

 

  • Consistent performer and responder to daily, weekly and monthly Sales KPI’s.

 

  • Independent, entrepreneurial, comfortable in a fast pace, early stage environment while being able to work effectively as part of a team.

 

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

 

  • Strong research and analytical skills to assess clients’ needs, understand industry trends and category development, and create and optimize data and results towards optimal goals.

 

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate compelling value proposition to clients and transfer all details of the proposed solution to internal fulfillment teams to meet client’s expectations and timelines.

 

  • Google Adwords Fundamentals certification.

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required
