Job Description

TEGNA’s digital products impact tens of millions of Americans every month. We strive to produce the best possible user experience across all our products. You will be responsible for advocating for that user experience every day. Additionally, you will work closely with our internal software design and development teams in an Agile environment to define user stories, write acceptance criteria, groom backlogs, help prioritize features and conduct user acceptance and usability testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with design to create best in class user experiences
  • Sign off on user experiences across our digital products
  • Help guide usability testing efforts
  • Analyze past product, feature and vendor performance
  • Evaluate user feedback and develop recommendations to solve pain points
  • Interview end users to obtain and document requirements
  • Maintain and groom backlogs
  • Write users stories including acceptance criteria
  • Provide training and rollout support for new functionality
  • Develop outcome metrics associated with development projects to measure effectiveness and business value

Job Requirements

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an agile, digital environment
  • At least 1 year in product management preferred
  • Design or UX specific work experience preferred
  • Demonstrated use of data to solve business problems preferred
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Composed, poised and professional demeanor
