This position requires the supervision of the Accounts Payable Team Lead or the Accounts Payable Supervisor. The job requires a large volume of A/P Invoice processing and entry of A/P invoices. This person will benefit from strong communication, customer service, and organization skills. The position will also involve the research of outstanding invoices, non-negotiated disbursements and will assist on other Accounts Payable related projects. Experience using Oracle A/P and or Markview imaging systems is a plus.


1. Review invoices for proper coding, amount and support.
2. Process a high volume of data entry while meeting or exceeding SLA and  quality standards.
3. Work with invoice preparers to resolve discrepancies or resolve coding and workflow approval issues.
4. Reconcile vendor accounts when necessary.
5. Review data entry batches for accuracy and completeness.
6. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships and open communication with internal and external customers.
7. Provide daily batch reports listing data entry performed for each operating unit.
8. Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Accounts Payable system, Excel, email and other relevant tools.
9. Assist with scanning and overnight envelope preparation when necessary. 10. Prepare storage requisitions for sending and retrieving A/P documents.


A strong understanding of Accounts Payable policies, procedures and related documents. Strong data entry, organization and communication skills. The ability to work well with internal and external customers in a team environment.


Job Requirements

  1. Must have strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable policies, procedures and related documents.
  2. The ability to perform on other PC-based applications such as Excel, word, email and other relevant technology tools
  3. Working knowledge of the accounts payable payment terms
  4. Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills
  5. Responsive to researching and resolving accounts payable issues with customers and vendors
  6. Ability to calculate sales and use taxes as it relates to invoices (from and to states and cities)
  7. Ability to interact with both internal and external customers in a professional manner
  8. Ability to adapt easily to new procedures, policies and systems
  9. Work well in a team environment
