We are seeking qualified candidates for a position as an Auxiliary Sensors Coordinator (ASC) for Pacific Range Support Team (PRST) to be located at Vandenberg Air Force Base in support of the US Air Force 30th Space Wing, to coordinate non-DoD range assets and instrumentation in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This individual will plan and integrate the required auxiliary sensors and test instrumentation involving the Missile Defense agency (MDA) tests.  The ideal candidate will possess:           
  • Test range capabilities where no current instrumentation exists and/or augment existing range instrumentation to fill shortfalls and capability gaps.
  • Mobile or fixed instrumentation experience involving sensors such as radar, EO/IR, telemetry and communications links for land, sea and air platforms.
  • The ability to coordinate aircraft activities, deconflict airspace restrictions and interface with FAA personnel to facilitate aircraft operations in restricted, shared and/or uncontrolled airspace.
  • Completion of MDA Flight Test Training Levels I-IV for a MDA Flight Test Mission
  • Experience with TRMP-T asset scheduling tool and Universal Documentation Systems (UDS)
  • Previous Pacific Range Support Team (PRST) member at a DOD Test & Evaluation (T&E) Range 

Applicants must possess an active or recent Secret or above Security Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline (Math, Science, Engineering or Technology), or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years with DoD T&E range operations, program management and/or range instrumentation and communications experience and airspace management.
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills are essential.
  • Prior experience working with government contracts and contract representatives, program sponsors, technical working groups and instrumentation engineers and operators.
