Tetra Tech’s Disaster Response Division is currently hiring for CDBG Program Planner to join our team and to be responsible for the scheduling of technical resources, management of process pipelines and production schedules for a complex workflow automation system.  The successful candidate will use defined processes and baseline skill requirements to organize and assign resources to maximize efficiency, lower cost, maintaining quality and production schedules. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Schedules production runs and resources to maintain appropriate production levels in the most efficient manner.
  • Reviews and interprets production reports related to open orders and daily schedule. Adjusts schedules as needed. Reviews needs and findings availability for daily schedule variances and future needs.
  • Communicates with internal and external resources to exchange pertinent information and coordinate work load. Sends/answers communications in a timely manner.
  • Conducts investigations into overages/shortages of resource consumption and determines the corrective actions as needed.
  • Provides detail reporting for workflow/process performance and pipeline utilization reports.
  • Keeps updated on and complies with new policies and procedures. Continually strives to expand knowledge base to increase performance level.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience in Incident Command System (ICS/HICS) organization, Continuity of Operations Planning and Risk Management. Experience in disaster related programs including FEMA, HUD and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is a plus. Other skills required include:
•A bachelor's degree on related field
•3 years of management experience
•Scheduling, project planning, budget, production, and estimating experience
•Detail oriented with strong communication skills.
•Solid math and computer skills
•Ability to understand and follow specific instruction and procedures, organizing and coordinating skills.
•Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
•Ability to do 25% travel
