Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a full-time, entry to junior level Engineer for our Helena, MT office.

The selected candidate will provide support to provide design and oversight support for several of our environmental remediation projects. Typical project tasks include CAD design, writing specifications, cost estimating, and construction oversight. Other tasks will include fieldwork such as environmental sampling and treatment plant operation and maintenance. Typical projects involve hazardous waste remediation, water treatment, and abandoned mine reclamation. Careful and accurate data reporting and technical writing are expected. Up to 50% travel may be required at times.



 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years’ experience working with civil or environmental engineering projects preferably. Education or previous experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 preferred. Education or experience with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, hydrologic engineering, water treatment, and technical writing preferred.

A bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or a similar Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university is required. Engineering graduates must have successfully passed the EIT exam. A current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificate is preferred.

The work environment will consist of field work which may be conducted on difficult terrain and sometimes under harsh weather conditions. Lifting instruments and equipment up to 50 pounds, climbing up steep slopes and other difficult terrain, and work outside in extreme cold and heat may be required. A valid current driver’s license to travel to and from job sites is required. Air travel to field project sites outside Montana will be occasionally required.

This position requires you to drive on a regular basis and will require passing a motor vehicle record (MVR) background check. This position also requires you to be a US citizen.
