We are currently seeking an Environmental Scientist Intern that will provide environmental support to various environmental assessment/remediation projects. Work includes various environmental projects including field sampling, analysis, and investigations of air, water, and soil.

About your internship…
As an Environmental Scientist Intern, you will be involved in the company’s environmental related tasks and projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze air, water, and soil samples using various sampling techniques
  • Participate in data research, collection, and compilation efforts
  • Conduct field work for Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments
  • Accurately document all activities on established field forms;
  • Write and review reports, generate figures/table, and manage databases;
  • Analyze/correlate data and recognize discrepancies in results
  • Permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Other duties may be assigned including travel for out of town projects

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Natural Resources, Hydrogeology, Science, or engineering disciplines is required
  • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in excellent standing within the company standards
  • Candidate must be able to pass background screening requirements including criminal history, motor vehicle check, drug testing, etc.
  • Candidates must be highly motivated, self-starters that want to establish a career in environmental consulting

Other Desirable Knowledge and Requirements:

  • Candidates should be fluent in the English language and possess excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Candidates must be able to professionally interact with clients, subcontractors, professionals and the general public
  • Applicants should possess the ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • Candidate must have the ability to work well in a professional and team-oriented environment, as well as independently
  • Candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent leadership skills, and be client focused
  • Must possess basic computer skills; the computer skills must include proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. Experience with ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD a plus
