Tetra Tech is seeking a mid-level mechanical designer to work in our Newark, DE office.  The selected candidate will provide support on a variety of environmental, engineering, and construction management related projects.  The person should be proficient in AutoCAD & Revit, and other similar engineering design software.  Must be able to read and comprehend old construction water and wastewater treatment plant related design drawings, as-builts, data sheets, equipment cut-sheets, and other design documents.  The selected candidate should be able to review submittals or other construction administration documents and facilitate design changes during construction and be capable of producing design drawings with minimal direction and supervision.   

Job Requirements

Demonstrated effective task management, multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, and learnability.  Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit required. AUTO CAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.  Should be self-motivated and should have good file management skills and should be capable of producing full-size design drawings.  Capable of providing direction to construction contractors and act as a liaison between the engineer and the contractor and should have some field engineering skills.  Must be a self-starter, motivated, and should work well in a team environment.  Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills required.
 
Required:  Design software training certification and Construction inspection certification. 40-hour OSHA training with Hazmat training preferred.
