Job Description


Cosentini Associates (www.cosentini.com), a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a self-starter with a desire for real world design and construction experience and a passion for green buildings to join on our Sustainability Team. The Sustainability Team handles all aspects of project management for clients seeking LEED or other green building certifications for large scale commercial and multi-family residential buildings.  Projects include high profile buildings with sophisticated design and development teams.  Applicants should have an understanding of building science and sustainability as applied to the built environment.  The role requires the ability to multi-task as well as strong communication and effective organizational skills.   Candidates must be deadline driven with the ability to excel whether working independently or collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in documenting green building certification requirements
  • Perform water, site and daylighting calculations
  • Assist with reviewing contractor submittals for LEED
  • Research and maintain database of changes to green building systems and programs
  • Investigate financial incentives for green building initiatives

 
Requirements:
  • B.S. or B.A. candidate in engineering, architecture, building science, environmental science or similar
  • Familiarity with building drawings and specifications
  • Understanding of green building trends, relevant sustainable design elements and technologies
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication capabilities

 
Preferred:
  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP BD+C
  • AutoCad or Revit skills
  • Engineering or architectural design experience
