CNC Machine Operator for a well established local company. Entry level applicants considered.

As a CNC Machinist, you will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, or by setting up and operating a manual machine.


Your specific duties in this role will include:

  • Planning machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and other resources, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
  • Verifying machine settings by measuring positions and making first-run parts, and sample work pieces including but not limited to calipers, micrometer and height gage.
  • Adhering to international standards
  • Maintaining specifications and adjusting and reprogramming controls
  • Sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions and requisitioning repairs
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area
  • Keen eye for detail a must


Work Experience
  • Minimum 1 years' experience setting up and operating CNC machinery. Entry level for the right candidate.
  • Ability to set up and operate manual and CNC Turrets and/or Lathes
  • Proficiency in the use of precision measuring tools with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work from blueprints, rough sketches and customer samples; comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work at a quick and steady pace with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
