Ōnin Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Auto Technician for a temp-to-hire position with a leading client that specializes in assembling emergency vehicles.

Position Overview:

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong automotive maintenance background and a willingness to learn. The position involves a variety of tasks including:

  • Performing basic maintenance and repairs (e.g., oil changes, rebuilds)
  • Extensive vehicle wiring (a major plus)
  • Disassembling and reassembling vehicles as part of the upfitting process
  • Installing specialized equipment into emergency vehicles

Position Highlights:

  • Temp-to-hire with long-term potential
  • Competitive pay: $16–$20/hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of automotive maintenance experience
  • Must have your own tools commonly used in automotive repair.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment that may require heavy physical duties
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Work involves frequent standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling
  • Fieldwork may be required at times, along with varying work hours and occasional overtime
  • Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as a constructive team player
  • Detail-oriented and focused on delivering quality workmanship
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
  • Must be prepared to read and interpret drawings, including electrical schematics, with limited assistance
