Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Housekeeper position is responsible for keeping assigned areas clean (free of germs, dust, and spots) and orderly (tidy/organized). Specifically, keeping restrooms and breakroom areas in the Warehouse and Production Areas and the Trim-Tex offices clean and orderly. The Housekeeper position is responsible for performing cleaning duties on a regular schedule, such as spot cleaning floors, kitchen and bathroom sanitation, and trash removal. Duties may include performing light maintenance and notifying management of problems or hazards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform housekeeping duties including sanitizing, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning the windows, cleaning bathrooms, and keeping workspaces neat.

Restocking coffee supplies, keeps the area clean and tidy, reports leaks, pests, problems, etc.

Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items

Unloads dishwasher in all kitchens/breakrooms early in 1st shift – ideally before most arrive, and again, if clean and full again, at the end of 1st shift

Cleans all lunchroom areas at regular times to match typical lunch and break times for first shift as assigned by Supervisor

Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies

Ensure cleaning equipment is properly used, maintained, and stored

Cleans designated areas of the Warehouse, if needed, to ensure proper working conditions for employees, which include the Trucker’s café, staff lunchroom, and shipping office

Take out trash whenever necessary-anytime when 3/4 to Full. Full bags must be taken to the dumpster(s)

Assist with event setup/breakdown and handle special cleaning requests

Takes initiative to help others when needed or requested, receives guidelines for unusual requests from the Supervisor

Report any issues to the Supervisor and, with guidance, prioritize tasks. For example, knowing when to set regular tasks aside to attend to urgent and or time-sensitive tasks or projects

Identifies potential hazards in the workplace and takes action to eliminate or minimize risks; notifies supervisor(s) of all injuries, illnesses, and other safety incidents immediately

Follows all safety protocols and notifies the Facilities Manager or the Facilities Supervisor of safety violations by others

to effectively and thoroughly clean without damaging finishes, while paying

attention to detail.
