Job Description


Job Purpose:
Performs engineering assignments involving advanced composite manufacturing processes and concepts
Duties:
  • Performs manufacturing engineering tasks in support of assigned programs.
  • Develops and implements composite manufacturing processes and procedures that produce positive results.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning process flow.
  • Works closely with a cross functional team to solve critical process issues as well as develop, implement, and document process improvements.
  • Provide practicable solutions to technical problems as they relate to composite processing including lay-up, curing, machining, assembly, and paint.
  • Provides root cause analysis and implements corrective/preventative action.
  • Provides technical input and support for proposals and projects in addition to ongoing programs
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements


Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years minimum experience as a manufacturing/process engineer supporting aerospace programs
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering discipline
  • Experience in working with aerospace specifications and requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interface with an organization at all levels
  • High energy, results oriented, self-motivated / self-reliant, team player
  • Functional knowledge of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
  • Functional knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
  • Strong problem solving and team skills
  • Effective in written and verbal communication
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. CATIA helpful.
