Job Description:
  • Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, effective assurance program using the ISO 9000 principles.
  • Development of standardized formats for all  program documentation including metrics and workflows.
  • Develop, implement, review, and update the Quality Policy, Quality Manual, Quality Objectives, Operating Procedures, and supporting high-level workflows.
  • Develop and oversee process for generation of product and process quality
  • Direct and oversee the development of quality documentation such as Corporate Operating Procedures (COPs), Project Operating Procedures (POPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
  • Develop and implement effective standard and consistent metrics and dashboards across organization that will assist managers in providing quality products to customers.
  • Utilize quality and safety tools to provide recommendations for continuous process improvement to program managers and to leadership.
  • Routinely review key performance indicators and participate in the review of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of quality training for personnel.
  • Establish a customer satisfaction process and support customer evaluation programs.
  • Document and maintain records of the accomplishment of quality-related events.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and local laws, regulations, and standards including, but not limited to DOD, DOSI, OSHA, FAA, ISO, FAR, CAS, GAGAS and ANSI.
  • Lead, manage, mentor, develop and support the quality team.
  • Support processes compliant with CMMI


Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical, scientific, or managerial field or equivalent experience.
  • Certification as a Program Management Professional (PMP) and / or Quality certification in one of the following disciplines:
    • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
    • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
    • Certified Quality Manager (CQM)
    • Certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt
  • 15+ years in one or more of the following:
    • Quality Assurance / Quality Control
    • Internal Audit
    • ISO-9001
  • Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.  Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.
Desired Skills:
  • Willing to guide, direct, supervise and manage staff through the evaluation of performance, collaboration of goals and provision of feedback and guidance for personal and professional growth.
  • Willingness to communicate orally and in writing to all levels of management.
  • Completion of certified/registered Internal Quality Auditor course and / or Graduate of a Quality Control Management Course.
  • Certification, training, and/or familiarity in various quality methodologies, such as the following:  ISO 9000, Six Sigma, Project Management, Change Management, Baldridge Criteria, Total Quality Management, CMMI,  Lean Enterprise, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, Control Self Assessments and/or Theory of Constraints.
  • In-depth knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Six Sigma and/or Lean Six Sigma control methods.
  • Investigate and implement innovative tradecraft, methods, and tools to improve strategic foresight; serve as primary Quality advocate and champion for future program / proposal endeavors; and utilize innovative techniques to pursue those opportunities.
  • A high degree of knowledge of military, aerospace, defense and/or Department of State quality practices.
  • Familiarity with Government/DoD standards.
  • Familiar with DCMA and its quality assurance program.
