Job Description

Position Overview:
Assist with credit operations of the Company and managing credit accounts for all branches of the Company.  Work involves attention to detail, initiative and problem solving.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Responsible for Collections.
  • Establishes credit accounts for new clients and maintain ongoing accounts for existing clients.  
  • Post customer payments and apply them to customer accounts.
  • Update accounts on a regular basis. 
  • Assist in compiling information for preparing various reports for the department.
  • Maintain resale cards and certifications of customers. 
  • Recommend measures to improve processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Act as a team player; be self-motivated, detail-oriented, focused, and energetic.
  • Experience with an AS400 system is a plus. 
  • Have excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Accurate with numbers.
  • Ability to perform in multi-task environment.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in Credit and Collections. 
  • Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting preferred but not required.
  • Membership in professional organization preferred.
  • Prior work-experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position requires long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain.  This position may also require doing some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
