Job Description

Viking Yacht Service Center, a subsidiary of Viking Yacht Company, is currently seeking an experienced marine electrician for its Riviera Beach facilities.  2 years minimum experience in marine electrical field and ability to perform complex service and repair tasks on yachts.  Overview:  Performs complex electrical service and repair tasks on boats utilizing various power and hand-tools and install complete electrical systems.    Ability to troubleshoot and digital controls, remote switching, electromechanical controls, solid state systems and perform related software programming.

   Ability to install wiring, fixtures, and equipment for electrical service such as relays, contactors,  motors, pumps, switches and other devices.

   Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.

   ABYC Electrical Certification is required within the first 6 months.

Job Requirements

Candidates must possess a HS diploma or GED equivalent, have a valid DL with a clean driving history as travel may be required at times.  All candidates must have an excellent reliability record, be self motivated to perform quality work, have success working in a team environment and excellent customer service skills.  Drug testing is required.  We offer competitive pay and benefits to include medical, dental, vision, 401k with matching plus much more.

About Us

The Viking Yacht Service Center in Riviera Beach, Florida, is on the Intracoastal Waterway and conveniently located just minutes from the Palm Beach Inlet. With two service yards staffed by Viking trained technicians, it provides expert warranty work, as well as all service needs, full paint services, custom woodwork and air conditioning packages, cockpit mezzanine retrofits and is an authorized Seakeeper installation center. Between the two facilities there are 38 deep-water slips, a concrete floating dock, two 150-ton Travelifts and a 125-foot by 150-foot building with 50 feet of overhead clearance for tower boats. Atlantic Marine Electronics and Palm Beach Towers also have facilities at this location.
