Admissions Nurse Job Summary

The Admissions Nurse coordinates all nursing pieces/data input associated with admissions to the Care Center and TCU.  Involved in reviewing admission candidates to ensure we can meet with their clinical needs, admitting residents into PCC, starting the nursing paperwork/data entry, communicating with hospital case managers, and other duties as assigned. 


Job Requirements

Educational Requirements and Experience

  • Florida State Licensed Practical Nurse Required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with long term care regulations.
  • Clear level 2 background check

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Language Ability

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, speaking the primary language of the residents.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of organization.


  • Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population.
  • Provides leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others.
  • Inspires and motivates others to perform well.
  • Interacts with guests, residents and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Responds promptly to resident and visitor needs and assistance.
