Contracts and Corporate Compliance Manager – Healthcare assists in the management of contracting services for Volunteers of America National Services. Healthcare and contributes to overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization’s legal function.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Contract Review and Compliance
  2. Corporate Compliance
  3. Compliance Disclosures
  4. Legal Entity Formation & Maintenance
  5. Legal Research
  6. Technology Support
  7. Implement systems and procedures.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required and 3 – 5 years in Contract Management, Legal field or in a related area. A paralegal certificate from an accredited/ABA-approved program and/or an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Knowledge and Experience of working with Contracts and Contract Processes, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic of Knowledge of Contract Law, HIPAA, and other Healthcare regulations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with outside vendors.
  • Ability to negotiate financially viable and regulatory compliant contracts with managed care organization and vendors on behalf of Volunteers of America National Services.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
  • Strong computer skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized.
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.
  • Must be customer-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills and have proven experience with relationship building.
  • Must have organizational and project management skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
