 HOUSEKEEPING/LAUNDRY MANAGER

Maplewood Senior Living is looking a manager who is energetic, reliable, well organized team player to join our management team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school graduate or equivalent education.
  2. Minimum of one-year supervisory experience, or three (3) years related work experience.
  3. Ability to communicate and work effectively with various levels of staff, residents, family members and the public.
  4. Numerical ability for making various computations in planning departmental objectives, keeping work records and schedules, preparing budgets, requisitioning supplies and monitoring inventory control.
  5. Adequate strength, endurance and coordination to meet the strenuous demands of such responsibilities as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and loading and unloading washers and dryers; ability to fold and iron articles of clothing and linen.
  6. Ability to work flexible hours, such as during a staff shortage or an emergency situation.
  7. Ability to work in an area subject to heat and humidity.
  8. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
  9. Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

  2. Ability to adapt to changes in daily work hour and schedule.
  3. Ability to lift/carry a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds.
  4. Ability to push/pull more than thirty-five (35) pounds.
  5. Ability to perform tasks which require arm-hand steadiness.
  6. Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time through duration of shift(s).
  7. Ability to squat, climb stairs, reach above shoulders, twist, bend and kneel repeatedly through duration of shift(s).
  8. Ability to hear normal sounds within background noise.
  9. Ability to keep attention on task if routinely interrupted.
  10. Ability to remember tasks/assignments for a full shift.
  11. Ability to work beyond regularly scheduled shift (overtime) when necessary.
