Job Description

Maplewood Care Center is looking for a Laundry Aide/Housekeeper to support in ensuring the cleanliness of the Maplewood Senior Living Community. This position is Part-Time plus On-Call.

Hours vary: 5:00am - 1:00pm or 8:30am -3:30pm working Part-Time including every other weekend. This position has the opportunity to pick up additional hours throughout the week.

Responsibilities:

  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize laundry (linens, clothing, and other materials) 
  • Performs defined cleaning procedures, using various chemicals and cleaning agents, supplies and equipment
  • Replenishes paper products, hand soap products and wastebasket liners as needed during routine cleaning procedures.
  • Maintains housekeeping cart and utility closets in sanitary and orderly condition.
  • Follows established reporting procedures
  • Performs other duties or special assignments as directed by the Director.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous institutional housekeeping/cleaning experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow procedures, work assignments, instructions, warnings and labels.
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
  • Selected candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
