Are You passionate about caring for others? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of our senior community every day? Then Maplewood Care Center is where you were meant to be! Maplewood Care Center is looking for Trained Medication Assistants (TMA) to serve our residents and clients. 

Part-Time Opportunities on Day shifts, with rotating weekends. 

Shift: 6:30am to 2:30pm 

The primary purpose of the TMA is to administer prescribed medications and limited topical treatments to residents under direct supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.

  • Perform routine resident care duties delegated by the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, to meet the physical and psycho-social needs of residents.
  • Maintains all required documentation for medication and treatment administration.
  • TMA reports any noted changes in the resident as they are noted.
  • Pulled on the floor as a CNA when needed. 
  • Other assigned tasks. 

Job Requirements


  • Must have both Nursing Assistant and Trained Medication Aide Certification 
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and as delegated by the licensed nurse.
  • Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours, such as during an emergency situation.
  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
