Job Description

Maplewood Care Center is looking for Trained Medication Assistants (TMA) to serve our residents and clients. We have full-time and part-time opportunities available!

$2000 retention bonus for part-time (24 or more hours per week)

$4000 retention bonus for full-time (30 or more hours per week)

Shift times:

6 am - 2:30 pm or

2 pm - 10:30 pm

Compensation: $14-16.20 per hour


The primary purpose of the TMA is to administer prescribed medications and limited topical treatments to residents under direct supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Perform routine resident care duties delegated by the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of residents. Maintains all required documentation for medication and treatment administration. TMA reports any noted changes in the resident as they are noted. These services are in compliance with all state and federal regulations and policies and procedures by the facility.

Job Requirements


  • Registered or certified as a nursing assistant.
  • Completion of a state approved training program in medication administration with certificate received.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and as delegated by the licensed nurse.
  • Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
  • Able and willing to work flexible hours, such as during an emergency situation.
  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
